State of Connecticut Continuing Education Requirements for Salespeople and Brokers
Every two years (on even-numbered years), the State of Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection's Real Estate Commission requires licensees to complete a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education (CE).
CONTINUING EDUCATION OPTIONS: ON-LINE COURSES ARE AVAILABLE
A. Complete 12 Hours of Continuing Education courses from an approved school. Only courses completed after March 31, 2018 for brokers, and May 31, 2018 for Salespersons will count toward the 2020 requirement
The courses shall consist of the following:
1. Two Three hour 2020 mandatory courses—(both are required):
CT Real Estate Agency Law Review & Fair Housing I
CT Real Estate Agency Law Review & Fair Housing 2
2. Six hours of real estate elective courses.
B. Pass the 40-question Connecticut Continuing Education Examination during the CE cycle.
Attention New Licensees (Brokers and Salespeople):
Brokers: If you passed the Connecticut Broker licensing examination between 4/1/2018 and 3/31/2020, you do not need to take the continuing education courses.
Salespeople: If you are a new licensee and passed the Connecticut Salesperson licensing examination between 6/1/2018 and 5/31/2020, you do not need to take the continuing education courses.
Interested in a New Career?
This 60 hour Principle and Practices of Real Estate course meets the minimum educational requirement set by the State of Connecticut Real Estate Commission to be eligible to take the state exam for a real estate salesperson license.
When: Monday and Wednesday evenings
Duration: 8 weeks
